Hey Guys,
had some spare parts laying around and did an retrofit on an e60 with MASK and Basic Soundsystem.

Well everything did work well expect no Sound. Is it possible to get Basic Soundsystem Working with CIC? Or do i need to get an Logic7 AMP.

On E60 there are 2 different HIFI amplifiers with different wiring depending on mfy

The pre lci has the 20 pole amplifier with the no. 6 920 461 and is used in conjunction with the ccc.
The lci has the 42 pole amplifier with the No. 9 198 762, because the pre lci has problems with the wiring...
You must use the lci amplifier with the CIC when you upgrade hifi

Ok. Car has no amplifier at all i think. Since it has only 4 Speakers in the Front and 2 on the paracel shelf in the back. So there probaly only run via the mask / ccc without amplifier.

Is it possible to retrofit an Amp easy? Or can i use an aftermarket one?

Just to make sure, in setup right now there will be no sound at all? Or is it possible to get it working without extra parts just with coding and wire change?

You can retrofit everything, in the attachment I have you times 2 circuit diagrams deposited.

Once with pre lci amplifier for ccc and once lci amplifier with cic the pin assignments.

Yeah i looked at these already. But iam missing the AMP completly. So no wiring at all.
Is it possible to get it working without extra hardwarE?

Of course it should be possible. Why don't you check wiring diagrams for "stereo speaker system" yourself? AFAIR pin numbers for speakers are same as in CCC. As I never tried this I guess you just need proper coding.

If you fitted the CIC and coded it to your car it should give out sound. Have you coded the unit at all ?

Unit is coded. But as i said no amp at all. Speaker run directly to the Quadlock. Is CIC even able to handle that? Some people say it needs an AMP even with basic system.

Strange, on TIS there is a wiring diagram for CIC connected directly to speakers (stereo speaker system), but I don't see anything similar anywhere else. So maybe that is a bug from lower series (3ers, 1ers) CICs. Or it could be that it was supported by very early production CICs.

If so the the simplest option for you is to put HiFi amplifier (which does not need MOST) somewhere near CIC.

But are you SURE that have coded CIC to stereo sound and not some kind of Top Hifi which routes it via MOST???
