After 1.9 pd engine change car dont want run
So hello, original car is ford galaxy with vw 1.9pd engine, on original engine timing belt broke, sou mechanic put different 1.9pd engine, cant tell you engine codes because i dont know were to find them.
After changing engine mechanic noticed that timing belt tensioner is different. Problem: when crank engine rpm on cluster moving, engine will start and then rpm on cluster drops to 0 but engine will run aprox. 0.5 to 2 sec then stalls! Wiring checked all ok, also tried another new crank sensor Fault code: crank sensor incorrect signal. I notice that even if i turn on ignition after aprox. 10 sec glow plug light will flash, sou that's means not related to different engine. questions is what could it be? cant find a problem, and if i connect diagnostic and watch real data they will freeze when i crank engine sou computer will not helping. sensor original is wired wired pin 1 & pin 2+3 is together. |

RE: After 1.9 pd engine change car dont want run
there two types of tensors ....does not matter....first was one with a hydraulic piston then they remove it and put manual and again two different manual. on the same engine......does not matter.....disconnect the camshaft sensor and then try to star. it will crank more but will start and work. then will see
No help for people not give a feedback

i would recommend getting both engine codes and comparing part numbers from both crank sensors, they may be different? perhaps scope crank signal at ECU to see if you get a pattern?

You have to check the position of the crank sensor.
Such a fault was on the german YouTube channel "Autodoktoren". The engine was changed and don't want to start. First check the engine code. |

I seen similar problems before on Polo diesel after engine swap, crankshaft position sensor was not lined up properly

Hello.
Try to see something in both engines, see if the crankshaft sprocket of the old engine is the same as the engine that is in the car. there are two types of reels with different brands. |
