My BMW I3 2014, when I press the start button, I get the KOMBI and browser screen, check propulsion (in red).

The car does not start, it has the high voltage disconnected.

I have diagnosed it and it has the error code: 21F0D5 Accumulation management electrical system: contactor, the contact remains in the open position or a fuse has been activated

The ISTA-D check plan says

In this case there are the following possible causes of the error:
1. Faulty contactor
2. Defective fuse

If the fuse has blown, a short in the high voltage system may be the cause.
I think there is a short circuit in the car, the car had it connected to the wallbox and it was charging the batteries. The wallbox had the differential off, and it only turns off when there's a short circuit.

The ISTA-D check plan says
Replace Safe

Renew the following components:
Electronic system of electrical machines (EME)
High voltage cable between EME and high voltage battery unit.

Do I have to change the Safe and the EME?

According to your story en my experience;

Probably the fuse in safety box is blown. When fuse is gone it blows up eme also in most cases. Open cover of eme and you will see

So yes eme will probably need replacing. Safety box can be repaired but in case 2 or more relays are also gone it’s probably cheaper to buy brand new.

And before that find the short circuit or verify your wallbox is ok

Oh and if you are not experienced in such repairs be aware of the high voltage it can cause health issues!! If relay stays active it’s possible everything is still under high voltage.

My number 1 rule on EV cars measure voltage twice!

hi,

consequential fault of under voltage: check voltage supply to the switch contactors. if the voltage supply is OK, replace the safety box. if the fuse has been activated in the high-voltage system due to a short circuit, the fault cause in the high-voltage system must be identified

Hello again.

After changing the fuse the car ran perfectly.

I have driven the car and everything works fine, it does not give any fault codes.

When I charge it, the same error codes always appear:

222833 Load management: check-control warning 803, insufficient network power
222842 Upload Management: Error during upload process

Where could the short circuit be?

If EME had a short circuit, wouldn't it give an error code?

How do you think CPU can know that there is a short on HV input???? It does not try to output anything on there. And given EMEs are known to fail and that there is a recall on many of them I would start there. Or do you expect us to have a crystal ball for your specific case?
