First, you did not specify the rim size as well as whether rim offset (ET value) is the same between your and your friend's.

Second, M adaptive is much softer until put in sports mode than just M so it's quite normal to get rubbing easier when you put oversized wheels.

Third, I don't understand why would anyone do that. Not only you get rubs you also LOWER car's acceleration with higher diameter wheels!!! Rule is simple: with bigger wheel diameter you get less acceleration, but higher maximum speed. That is IF your car can STILL reach it due to less horsy powers.

Is only for the looks mate, got them with a very good deal, £500 so I was why not. I don’t rly care about speed tbh, is only a 320d, is a daily runner over 200k miles and family car, baby car seat inside ) so speed or bhp not a must for me, or acceleration. I stop at 72mph anyway
