You cannot upgrade software by FDL coding. Needs to be done by flashing the headunit.

I thought so , i patched this NBT EVO with a file on a USB stick ;so i have been told i cant update the I-level of the NBT EVO to the latest firmware?

Latest update of ilevel for use with USB patch is 18-11-5xx. 18-03-520 to 18-11 is fullscreen compatible. From 19-03-5xx and onwards you need to use ENET and feature installer patch.

Any between 18-11 and 18-03 is ok for ID5/6. For ID4 flashed to ID6 18-03 is most stable.

Sorry this sound stupid but i dont with version that is ..Tha latest SDP are 4.36.12 ..Soprry i am not an expert on this ,i am still learning. This wil be my first flash with Esys always used Ista but then the whole car is flashed.

Sure. As written, from 19-03 and onwards, ENET is needed. When updating ilevel patch will be removed, but the current he has on USB can be reused for updating to 18-03 to 18-11.

4.36.12 is too new for USB patch. You need 4.10.xx for 18-03 ilevel.

I always keep the latest SDP  so the ones for 18-06 are ? and where can i find them? or is it better  to flash to the latest and get another patch for feature tools?

Okay an update on the problem of Fullscreen Apple Carplay on my sonn F36 , i have been reading and reading how to properly flash modules with Esy. Ik have the proper psdzdata from members here on this forum i even got a download link from member [b]flashxcode [/b]for psdzdata specially just for programming the NBT EVO so the file is just 16 GB. Now i dont know what to doe because i also have Ista on the laptop i always have the SDP and BLP installed in the psdz folder in the directory of Ista and then i have a Mlink so i can use Esys without having to also install the SDP in the Esys directory.  So what do i have to do replace the SDP in the Ista directory with the psdzdata specially for NBT EVO or do i have to uninstall Ista ans just put the psdzdat in the Esys directory what can i do best?

Why would de NBT be VO locked?? this is a original NBT EVO in the F36 that came like this from the factory.. What is VO locked?

I cant use feature Installer because i have a Ptch on a USB stick, the patch worked becaue after using the patch the F36 has Apple Carplay but the sonn wants Apple Carplayy fullscreen, so here on the forum people told me that the I-level of the NBT EVO is to old for Fulscreen and because i am using a patch on a USB stick i cant update the I-level to the latest level just to 18-11-5xx. 18-03-520 .
So i am planning to flash the I-level and then use the patch again. I wrote here that i have the SDP installed in the Ista diectory and then i am using an M-link so Esys can use thes SDP ,can i just deleete the latest SDP and put the 4.10.21 in the place and do i also need to replace the BLP?
