F11 525d EGR error code
Hi,
I have 290900 error code Air system, air to EGR mass flow plausibility: measured air mass too high compared to calculated air mass Can you tell me what should I do? |

You should run air mass diagnosis in ISTA. It will give more information to troubleshoot. Unless you want to fire a parts cannon. It's up to you. Could be many things.

You will more than likely need to carry out test on the car, look for leaks on the egr/air intake system and trace any issues, if your not capable or don’t have the equipment it may be better to book into a garage with a mechanic who knows BMWs, the air flow issue is more than likely there is more air than being measured hence maybe a leak

Most likely faulty egr valve. Genuine valve is cheap, dont try China made aftermarket. After replacement don't forget to reset air mass values
