Update Navd Esys
There is a NAV / ENT update option in esys, Can I update the navigation maps with it? If yes, what path should be given? can you give the path to the file from your computer or does it have to be online? I'm asking because my Nbt Evo ports are buggy ... and I'm looking for another option to upgrade ...

RE: Update Navd Esys
navd entd can be used with hddupdate server in lan, eg path: 10.0.10.10/hddupdate/ENTD_000025D9_003_022_007/ or 10.0.10.10/hddupdate/NAVD_000015A8_013_021_003, it's not necessary to have hddupdate, a lan sharing with all the packages inside is enough.
edit: since i've many pm about this, i'll clarify more. Define a path with inside all the navigation data and all the entertainment data organized with folder named correctly (hddupdate do this job for you and you can use the hddupdate datas path), create a tal wich requires update of navd and entd, use that for upgrading. IMHO i prefer usb |

RE: Update Navd Esys
You do realize that ethernet in cars is 100Mbps (well, except the just (soon to be) released models) while USB2 speed is 480Mbps so updates via USB are MANY times faster??? Of course, these are maximum speeds and there are other factors in play, but in reality, it holds quite well.

RE: Update Navd Esys
Sorry, I have one more question ...
If I give the path to the map folder, does the final folder have to be named, for example: NAVD_000015A8_013_021_003 or it can be any end folder? if I make a mistake, it will upload by force or will it say that it cannot be done? Thank you very much ! |
