Disable FSC for recall?
Hi all,
I was wondering if you could help me out. In 2018 I retrofitted SLI on my G30. Last week I made an appointment for maintenance and was told that there was also a recall (0013440300) that involved programming. From what I found only, the recall is updating the DDE on my car. Since the car is still on factory I-step (2017-xx), I assume they will flash the entire vehicle. I know FDL coding stays unnoticed. Should I disable the FSC for the SLI before driving to the dealer to stay unnoticed? Or do I have to disable the FSC so the flash does not fail? I read on a different forum about a 7-series owner that got a call from the dealer that the update could not be performed because "additional software" was installed. From what I understood, this was a differend case with CarPlay retrofit (and replacement of all stock FSC's) Thank you for your time! |

SLI on a G30 requires OEM FSC which you have. You won't have any problems in the workshop.

In these cars is possible upload fake FSC for SLI, isn’t clearly specified in the thread if it is OEM

why not just update the vehicle software before you go in and update I-Stufe yourself.
when then go to program, there will be nothing to program. |

I buyed FSC from @chang2, uploaded in G3x kafas4 2018 works fine, nothing else
