Solved ✔ Kafas4: control unit not coded for the vehicle

XZBMW  Kafas4: control unit not coded for the vehicle
I have problem with kafas4-mid for G20.
 - After the FDL code has the error code "Kafas control unit not coded for the vehicle".
 - Have done the following and the problem is still there.
1. Vo code kafas4 with original FA (checked FA thoroughly).
2. Flashed kafas4 with original FA.
3. Calibrated kafas with ista.
Any help is appreciated

- Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- Remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace).
- ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map.
- Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used.
- Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP.
- Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7).
- Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely.
- Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE).

Did you checked the SVT (using esys) for your vehicle to confirm the KAFAS4 has a CAFD file?

Did you write the original FA back to your vehicle before running ISTA+?

I heard about this problem, when people change region from US to ECE “or similar “, this issue appears.
Didn’t met it in my practice yet, so also interested if someone will post solution for solving this issue.

The only time it appeard with me when i updated all ECUs in G11, it went away after i finished my calibrations and let the car go to sleep.
KAFAS was stock, not retrofitted.

The problem was solved by finding a way to disable the existing 2 cafd (it must exist as FFFF) and inject the 2 new cafd.
- Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- Remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace).
- ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map.
- Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used.
- Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP.
- Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7).
- Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely.
- Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE).
