Need to exchange my Combox Telematic
Hi guys,
in my F13 from 11/2011, I need to exchange the Combox Telematic (84109257151) I have a valid BMW Assist Contract. Found a used one with the same Part number. Is there a fair chance to get in running with ESys by only write the new VIN into it? What with the embedded Sim-Card? Will it run? Or do I have to buy a brand new one? Thanks a lot! |

I think that You can do simswap and then code/flash atm with your FA/VO

Thats exactly what Rudkinp meant - you will have to RE-SOLDER sim chip.

I did it once or twice while swapping esim between TCB and ATM. It's quite easy job if You have hot-air station.

I don't think that you should resolder the chip, the esim chip, also there are near pins for a sim card holder, is on its own PCB, which you can safely change with another one. It connected to the mainboard with a connecter
