XZBMW  Retrofitting combox on a E90
Hi! I have a e90 with Cic Pro, no Mulf or TCU module.
I bought a kit to retrofit a combox, but i am not sure how i would get the MOST signals.

I have male most adapter and then no adapter on the other side. How should i connect it to the car so that i get the proper MOST signal?

hello, it depends on what equipment your vehicle has? If you have top hifi SA677 you can take Most with a bridge from there. If not, you have to go to the cic Unit.

RE: Retrofitting combox on a E90
Thanks guys, i only have 676 hifi so no most there.
I thought i added VIN but clearly i didnt worried

If the CIC is the only module using MOST in my car, should i create a loop between the CIC and the Combox, or are there other stock modules that needs to be in the loop? Can you please tell me where how the connectivity should be?

VIN: VJ84497

Hello.
In your case, take the MOST optical bus from the X13836 connector (according to the diagram).
Don't forget to add the $6VC option (Combox control) to your car's FA before encoding.
If you need USB and AUX don't forget to add $FL ; $6NF ; $7SP. and connect as in the diagram.
Sorry!

You have a digital DAB tuner in your trunk. Take the MOST optical bus from it - it's much closer. Combox should stand next to DAB, this is his regular place.

You are wrong Combox will be coded through CIC-GW, you don't need Icom for coding.

To clarify, should the MOST line go to the combox first and then DAB or the other way? if it matters.

RE: Retrofitting combox on a E90
Hello.
All optical bus blocks must be connected in series. The driver is the CIC head unit. G.U. sends a signal to the nearest block, the nearest block sends this signal to the next block, the next block receives the signal and sends this signal back to the CIC. this creates a MOST ring bus. After adding new blocks to this bus, you need to make a service function (remembering the MOST bus),
Which block will be the first subscriber of the MOST bus, which one will be the second - it does not matter.
