it would be great to see some little howto guide to virginize CIC.

FTP only when you want to repair / remove FSC (total remove selected fsc code only). So that you don't have to buy new code.

Guys, I just finish do research on how to repair/upload/remove FSC code from CIC. In addition, you don't have to get repair pack to repair accidentally disable FSC code. Everything is there in your system (FSC and certificate). If interested, I will tell you how to do it, even change all 3 vin in the donor CIC.

Btw.

First FStool software uploaded in this forum you can upload FSC for 17, 19, 1B. Somebody provide the update to the first one (CarServer file) you can upload FSC for 9C.

You can upload your FSC using DCAN cable without any problem cos I use it.

To have full virgin CIC use attached controller file. Partial virgin, replace the rejected or disabled FSC code with 00. Whole length must be C in Hex or just change the status to not exist 00 before 04.

Download FSTool in Post #1 update file as stated in post #183. Once your FStool updated, follow this step:

1. Start your FStool Software and click connect.
2. Once connected, Go to Parameter and put Diagnostic Address (63), Appl.Nr (9C), Upgrade Index (1) and your VIN.
3. Go to Enabling Codes, select From File then choose your FSC code for 9C. (Must be decoded first)
4. Go to SWT Develop, select STORE_FSC and execute.

Check your FSC status using function in SWT Function (Get Status).

Note:
For FSC 9C you have to wait quite sometime for it to be fully active due to CIC need to extract zip file from the EEPROM and make changes to its file system. For me, I leave it 1 hour.

How to obtain FSC code for 9C?
I assume you need to order from BMW dealer on CIC's VIN not car's VIN.(cic is retrofitted).

You have to wait until the CIC update your FSC status. Patient must be one of your friends, especially for FSC 9C and 6F. The status loaded then you just wait for the status change to activate.

Doesn't matter, CIC Factory or CIC Retrofit.
