Hi all,

I would like to retrofit NBT Evo ID5/ID6 Head Unit from 2019 to 2013 F30 that has no nav. The head unit is from breakers yard part number 5A06D89, will I be able to fit this without the emulator? Also, what other issues I may have.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Use proper fsc retrofit kit and forget emulators. Many here can provide it and help remotely.

Thanks for your reply, would this unit work with either screens? ie business and professional screens?

Business screen no, you need professional screen APIX2 or you can use APIX1 screen with voltage regulator but you need to downgrade EVO to I-level 18-03 to make it working properly.

The vehicle this head unit is from a F22 with option S606 business Nav.

You need an NBT EVO - HW4.1 is probably best & one with the blue GPS plug will make life easy.

Do you know anything about retrofitting this system or BMW coding? If not, many on here will be able to offer services to code the headunit to your car and activate.

Regarding screens, if you buy the headunit I mentioned above, then you want an APIX 2 screen - from a car made after 07/2016, youll also need the LVDS cable from the HU to the Screen as I don't believe the one on you current system is compatible.

Other issue you'll have is that your car does not have the correct wiring to be able to activate it, known as OABR or ETH wiring, so you may have to send the unit to someone to have this done or buy one from the many on ebay that are pre-coded to your car already.
