to be honest, i wouldn't touch this ecu with clone kess, clone ktag is safer, if something goes wrong with kess write, you will need ktag to recover ecu , its a gamble, i lost that gamble once before, thats why i'm giving you this advice, i bdm all edc16s, goodluck

from me i done many EDC16 with Ktag clone reworked and never had issue all the time i try to do BDM read before playing with this Ecu's

Thankyou bud, unfortunately I don’t have the facilities for it but I have used obd on vag stuff before with no issues

the file that i share its BDM one but i think that you can write it with OBD and only flash will be modified in writing but wait other opinions from members with more experience

I think in the past I have read the bdm read is different and can corrupt when trying to write by obd

After a bit of research mpps won’t write back a bdm read only kess will, so if anyone has a obd version of my ori file I would be very grateful

I just loaded file into winols and compared all the ecu software numbers and everything is identical so in theory I should be able to write back to ecu without issues

in edc16 immo data on eeprom so car will start withouth probleme .
