Hi all

A very strange problem.

A Workshop has tried to ad ORG. BMW 3AC to a 11/2021 BMW X5 G05.

They have messed up all wires when connecting them, not following the guide from BMW - like doing an IKEA buy.....

Now - all wires is OK, the right Rear Fusebox and MAX LIN-Bus Power module is also installed.

LED on Push button is flashing slowly red and trailer hicht can't fold in?

I've coded the 3AC (AAG module in) E-SYS - whole car is updated with ISTA, all modules Encoded.

Tried other 3AC module - samme issue.

I can fold the hitch in with +12 & GND with no problem.

Can it be 2 bad new modules or what do you think ?

Did you code the whole car or only the AAG ECU?

Curious what DTC's you're seeing in ISTA. Also wondering why you chose to code with E-Sys and then switch to ISTA for programming? When I retrofitted mine a while ago, there was a retrofit option in ISTA that does it all for you. Update VO, code and flash program necessary modules. It was almost 1 button click type easy and sticks with any Over The Air software updates from BMW.

VO has been updated with 3AC, first AAG coded with E-Sys.

Then the whole car with ISTA - still the same.

BMW TIS says - it all is in the same AAG module for control - I'm wondering if it can be the trailer power socket dector that somehow block's the movements?

ISTA error are added in first post.

Btw - it's the 2. second new aut. trailer hitch...

what will happen, if you start the initialisation progress with ISTA?
There is a service function...

It fails - and wan't you to the manual activation by pushing the button.

Have added SSP of the trailer socket switch - which I suspect may be the issue ?

Check hall sensor of the hitch. They are probably faulty. Or someone lifted the hitch and used the electric motor as a handle, the G05 hitches don’t like that.

Also the switch is only there to prevent moving when connector is inside socket and throws separate error if faulty, and when faulty hitch should work normally.
