BMW G31 Air suspension lowering by software
Hi,

I would like to install 30mm Eibfach springs on my G31 540d with M-package from the factory (M-chassis) and lower the rear by software.

Is that possible with ESYS? Are there ne instructions where to ESYS in which module one would have to purely and which value one would have to adjust how?

you can try with ista to adapt the ride height, and measure the hight as indicated, but then add like 10-30mm and see if car tries to correct it

RE: BMW G31 Air suspension lowering by software
I have made it with ISTA, but I have a problem.

I measure rear about 645mm, so I entered ~675mm and it went down a bit, but for whatever reason when I measure it manually it's not at 675, sometimes 670, on the rightside 673, sometimes 669 and on the right side 671, allways diff.

by the constant back and forth testing I no longer know my stock height and I now also have to change the height sensors - now I would like to have the stock height again to start from scratch, is there ne way to get the stock height again?
I think by a very unrealistic number pumps the car again very high (probably original), but if I measure it then and accordingly enter the new value, so the lowering is not correct again.

RE: BMW G31 Air suspension lowering by software
I have a question... front lowering is ~610mm.
Rear by software I do not get my desired lowering.

The vehicle is currently too low in the rear, I tried 590, an error message appears that it is too low a number, I did 610 as in the front and the suspension went up, I did another 610, the suspension went up again about 1.5cm, I did another 610mm and the suspension went up again, that was high as a bus.

How can this be?
Then I wanted to make something down and have made to test 630 to drive down piece by piece, nothing has done, also again 630mm made, nothing has done, have then 670mm made, he has moved only ~2cm, wanted to make 690 to drive down again 2cm, he has made again nothing, wanted to make 710, there came the error message that 710 is too high a number.

So no matter what value I enter between 600 and 700, the never makes the desired height... alone that I have made 3x 610 and the each time became higher and higher... what am I doing wrong?

I dont know why you trying make almoust not possible things sometimes. Just buy adjustable link and do it manual like 99% everyone.
Plus keep in mind, that lower air in rear will make car feeling weird. In high speed she will be unstable wink

I also got... then I would have to install the times, my question now would then be whether there is somehow a factory setting regarding the height?

as i inspected in 1.5years, g31 making totaly shit with rear suspension itself. Sometimes it higher, sometimes lower with same empty trunk. I dont have a clue wtf is happening with suspension, so i give up for a while.

RE: BMW G31 Air suspension lowering by software
You sort of fucked it up by entering the same values over and over again it’s not that hard… since you are completely lost now best thing to do is this:

- enter real measured value on the rear
- make a short test drive so rear suspension sets itself
- now enter the real measured value and ADD the desired lowering value (+30mm for example)
- make a short test drive so rear suspension sets itself

This way it won’t be 100% as most people like if you want it to be 100% as you like better install the adjustable linkage.
