Yes, you can modify EEPROM from B to C and flash with SD files.
If not modified to C (or to what you are flashing), sd-card flash does not work..

There could be a possibility to change the Metainfo of the update while there is a Bug on some Mib2 units specially on Harman ones. But without knowledge how the files looks (folders of update, Metainfo2 of Update) actual part or hardware numbers no one will or can help you because we dont know a part number or the update itself.

This is wrong update, it'S for FP2 from Conti, and not the old FPK1 from Bosch!
