Im looking at trying to programme features into my Grandland x. I was wondering does it have to ability to enable automatic window closing when it senses rain on the front screen. I was able to get this to work on my 2006 Vectra c when i added rear electric windows and coded them in with my Tech2.
Ive looked on the net for any sort of extra features you can add but there is basically no info anywhere for these cars, I was hoping as it is 5 years old now the systems would be available to play around with like adding cooling seats, electric memory settings heated rear seats.

What would the best tool and software combo be for me to code new features into my car??
I’ve only really used the Vauxhall Tech2 and my newer vxdiag/mdi.

PSA Diagbox app fully supports J2534 tools. If your Vxdiag/MDI have correctly configured drivers - they are good to go.
However, it was PSA policy, that starting with 2016 (or 2014) MY, any changes in configuration could be done only by purchasing tokens (online-only coding).
You need to create free account at PSA Service Box website, buy correct token and you would be able change some options..
I'm not sure if you can used cracked Diagbox release, or a VM version when you connect online - so may need to buy a subscription for the latest Diagbox release, while you are there.


All in all - not worth it if you are a simple home DIY-er and want to explore what is possible to change.
