Hi.

I started a programming session yesterday to reprogram a used SGM module to a 05 E60, and the programming went great. All successfully programmed but when I started the programming session ISTA started trying to download FSC codes for Voice Control. This progressbar never went away and I did not have the FSC codes on a usb drive. This resulted in that part of the measures plan being skipped and Voice Control no longer workind, SWT state in ISTA says that no FSC is loaded.

On earlier versions of ISTA-P it re-used the old FSC codes, this is even told in the manual that it will use the old codes unless a replace/repair has been carried out on the CCC/CIC/NBT.

On an F31 i also updated it saved and tried to reupload the FSC codes on the CIC-MID but the reupload failed. Even though the FSC status in ISTA was still accepted and loaded.

Is this a new change in ISTA-P? That all FSCs has to be reuploaded?

Did you program CCC? CCC looses voice command FSC if you flash it. There is a DVD available in internet that has all fsc code up to 3/2007. Google for fsc_up_to_2007_03.

Yes CCC was programmed. But i was under the impression that ISTA-P would save the FSC. Oh well.

Found it here on another thread, so will get the car back tomorrow...

BTW I would not flash CCC when replacing SGM or some other airbag system module. Actually I never flash CCC without a very good reason, it takes lots of time and is quite risky to flash.

My original plan was not to flash the CCC, but when I chose that modules were replaced and chose SGM it would flash the entire car. Could not just select the SGM.
It wouldnt allow me to remove measures that had to do with programming.

I could have just flashed it with Winkfp and code it with ncs then start system time, but I was working on more cars at the same time. ista is automatic

Did you try without selecting control unit replaced? I have never tried it on SGM, I always use winkfp for it and now I am wondering if it would work with ista. Some weeks ago I flashed e60 from normal to sport auto. Owner had replaced the GWS and I forgot it. Flashing of both EGS and GWS went smoothly without selectin control units replaced.
