XZBMW  Help to restore a CIC with factory firmware
Hello.
I need help.

I have a CIC with DAB tuner installed on a E60 04/2006, who tried to activate with an script, assumed would operate without connecting the emulator.

The case that after make all steps to install the script, the CIC was restarted to make the new configuration and since then, is continually resetting (every minute or so).

I tried to repair it with the WinKFP and emergency programming, but it has not been possible. There is no time to start making the WinKFP encoding, because every minute is restarted.

Anyone know how to solve this problem.

I have heard that there is a CD / DVD firmware restore the CIC's, which is inserted into the reader maps and CIC starts with the software CD / DVD, not with the software loaded into the CIC.

Someone can help me solve the problem?
Sorry for my English.

Thanks in advance.
ATC

Never heard about repair cd for cic...but for ccc, however, will not help you in any way...you can try to flash cic with winkfp...here you have spdaten v41 zbnr's for your cic (with dab tuner):
63 // 9257171
62 // 9257183
A0 // 9257185

RE: Help to restore a CIC with factory firmware
I would try to brick it in some way or another to stop looping. in this step you should see bmw logo and bootloader text. then try to reflash it.
you just to be just faster enought to start programming on 63....in 1 minute you should be able at least to start the programming..

or be faster enough to logon via telnet remount rw efs_ro partition and replace the file that you have modified to run script - start6ssl or netinit etc. it could be done to run it faster by scripting...powershell on windows or bash/perl/whatever under linux.

in dont have any other ideas now..

RE: Help to restore a CIC with factory firmware
Ok, thanks for the ideas.

I've tried it, but not enough time to do anything with WinKFP. Not enough time to connect via Telnet that takes about a minute to start the telnet service, just after restarted, so no time to do anything sad

RE: Help to restore a CIC with factory firmware
You can try use tool32 and set CICR.prg in rescue mode. Then download all fsc files. Program it with ISTAP. But after set rescue mode" Do not switch IGN off" Otherwise CIC will be killed.

Set connection with ICOMA=>open Tool32=>open files=>choose CIC.prg=>find set rescue mode=>double click it=> close tool32 but dont switch IGN off.

Load all fsc files in usb stick and insert it in PC with ISTA/P=>start program ecus with ISTA/P
