Like everyone said, buy entrynav and its much easier.

There are also entrynav units without navigation so dont need to decode anything just replace VO options and thats it.

Thanks everyone. I will reconsider the options. The car is not mine and the owner wants an OEM solution. I see that entrynav has not been delivered standard in an F21, but will see if the owner wants it.

Entrynav is standard equipment in F21.. just depends of build date (>07/14) and car equipment

You need to connect the microphone and bluetooth antenna obviously

I know that. the car has bluetooth phone already.

But you will need to reroute that to the new HU

if he has phone bt, but not combox, the mic is already in the hu.

just fit entrynav and code out nav function

So I decided to fit entrynav, but I don't want to lose navigation. I need to find a unit with navigation or will there be a problem?

Okay I found an entrynav unit with part number 65 12 9874336

This should also have navigation. Can someone confirm that this is plug and play and that navigation will work (using correct FSC set obviously)?

It will work, it is plug n play.

Nav wont work because there are no aftermarket fsc solutions for these. BUT you can use an NBT emulator in between if you really really want nav.
