E60 CCC to CIC now high rate of discharge?
Just put CIC in a friends 2007 E60, as it had $609 from the CCC I just changed the date to 0909 so I could see and default code the CIC, I figured that was it for now.

Problem is he is getting high rate of discharge each morning now, his battery is fine, it's only a year old AGM I fitted and coded so we know that isn't the reason.

Am I missing something obvious here, do I need to put the date back (doesn't make sense doing that though) or any VO changes needed?

In that case, not needed to change back the date. But in the future, if you want to code any module except CIC, need to change the date back.

Checked fault codes with ISTA? If no fault codes, check service functions in ISTA under Voltage Supply tab in Service functions.

If nothing to do, try code with time criteria 0909 also CAS and KGM.
BTW, with CIC you must have in LM different (newer) manufacture I-level.

I'll see if that sorts it, the car was fully updated a couple of years ago, and BMW haven't released anything since then.

CIC is also out of date, will ISTA-P be able to update this as it will be the only thing the car should flag as I did a full update using ISTA-P a couple of years back?

Check for a stuck (black) relay that handles the car's accessories in the trunk area. This relay is supposed to switch electronics off once the car goes to sleep. Chances are it's faulty and keeping the electronics running, thus draining the battery overnight.
