I think grey one's quality is poor. I bought grey one first, when I received the adapter, It's broken... No response, no led flash when connected to car, the seller didn't believe it's broken because it was just out of factory, it costed me one week to verify the adapter with the seller together. Finally he believed it was really broken and agreed to change one for me. But I choosed to change to the red one instead, didn't want to face the poor quality of grey one.

I received the grey 6154a today, got 2 for a client. 1 works perfect and also boots very fast. The other gives error in windows (several computers) and can't be recognised, the lights also keep blinking. Any suggestions to reset the dongle? I tried the same procedure like original VAS 6154 but it did not work.

Same situation like me, it was broken when received, don't try to reset it, just contact your seller to replace one.
