I'm trying to get my facts straight about KAFAS cameras. Please chip in and correct/add if I got smething wrong. This is just my current understanding of KAFAS.

KAFAS1:

• single lens
  
• Plastic body with small "scoop"
  
• late E0xx and early F0xx
  

FSC - not applicable

KAFAS2:

• Single lens
  
• Plastic body with "scoop"
  
• Fxx older series cars from F0XX 
  

FSC - can be maniplulated till certain iLevel or purchased from dealer ( not sure about BE or BF ?)

• AppID 126 (7E) - Speed Limit Information
  
• AppID 190 (BE) - Front Collision Warning (FCW)
  
• AppID 191 (BF) - Pedestrian Detection
  

KAFAS 3:

• S15A and S15C cars paired with NBT EVO and MGU
  
• Two lens metal body
  

FSC only thru dealer ( got only 11F, is rest obtainable ?)

• AppID 287 (11F) - Speed Limit Information
  
• AppID 318 (13E) - WWA (Wrong Way Assist)
  
• AppID 318 (13F) - Front Collision Warning (FCW)
  
• AppID 320 (140) - Pedestrian Detection
  
• AppID 321 (141) - Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
  

KAFAS 4 MID:

• S18A,S15A and S15C cars paired with MGU
  
• One lens platic body
  

FSC only dealer and not obtainable ??

• AppID 433 (0x1B1)FSC - High-Beam assistant

I have NO idea what "KAFAS 3+4" means. IMHO (more or less) SAME KAFAS 4 MID/HIGH are used on ALL S15A, S15C, S18A... KAFAS 3 on the other hand were never used on S18A, but are used on S15A and S15C.

So given KAFAS 3 has 2 cams and KAFAS 4 has 1mid/3high cams, HOW can you upgrade one to another???

I'm trying to figure this out, Kafas3 or Kafas4. I understand both are sharing same HWEL 2086 just software is older (3) or newer (4). This migh be totally of target. That's why I'm raising this for debate  Maybe you are correct, this two lens cam with metal top is Kafas3, kafas 4 naming is used incorrectly in reference to this hardware. So 11F FSC is not for Kafas 4, but for Kafas 3.

For me kafas 4 mid is HWEL 490E and high is HWEL 4902.

2086 is KAFAS 3 HWEL. Period! There are NO KAFAS 4s with this HWEL.
490E is KAFAS 4 mid HWEL = ok
4908 is KAFAS 4 mid BTLD = not ok
4092 is DDE802 SWFL = not ok

PS. KAFAS 4 high HWEL is 4902 ONLY.

P.P.S. Even newer chasses like G070, J001, etc no longer have units called KAFAS, there are ADCAMs instead in low/mid/high variants...

KaFas 1 got released on late E serie on E70 and E71 - without FSC like early F series cars.

Are we able to FDL Code ADCAM in newer chassis? Is it possible to access it or is it locked with NCD 2.0?
