I made write protection so hopefully it will be ok, tl866 was the only tool I had available to make write protection, member konradzd told me that he made immo off with tl866 with success, I'm mailing it back tomorrow, I'll report back, cheers all.

Hi raffy, will direct connection to the ECU do for vcds ? I have it sealed back up and I don't have time to open it again, I'm on the way out to work

Yes by direct conection no need to open grd and + and kline you should be able to check

No raggy, I didn't cut anything, it's new vcds cable, first time I used it, it might be a faulty cable raffy, I'll report back with the results, cheers.

hi, all, the guy just got around to installing the ecu back in today, car is running perfect, thanks rod benders for the solution and everyone else who jumped in to help, this one is solved
