sometimes cars equipped with CAS, and in very rare cases cars with FEM/BDC have this bug, when +5km added to mileage with every ignition cycle.

My speedometer also added 5km but only the first time. After that I didn't notice it anymore

RE: F15 6WB old mileage comming back
Its corrupted the 160D0WT chip... buy a new one and write a new data... its corruption of incremental register for kilometers... i have same problem last week... plus 4km after ignition...

the erase of register didnt help, i was not possible to write a new mileage to it.. not fully, only some bytes...
nothing helped, only change of whole memory for new one... now its working ok

RE: F15 6WB old mileage comming back
My guess is that it is a bdc problem, specifically someone may have used autohex early on to reset the mileage. I have exactly the same thing in two cars after replacing and reset mileage on the bdc/fem. Everything works until you disconnect the battery, mileage simply jumps between current and old one, and also servises are not available as well. The problem is that autohex permanently cuts off the synchronisation between bdc and kombi. Even an update does not help. And autohex support doesn't know what the problem is or how to even fix it. The quickest way to fix this is to reset the mileage in the bdc, for a while until you disconnect the battery. You can also reset the mileage on the kombi but I bet you'll get 000 after all and that will only confirm my theory. Next time I will try to use acdp or something else but not autohex.

Well, I noticed today that it has 5km more.
But it doesn't always do that and mine is not FEM but CAS4.
I've noticed for a while now that it sometimes shows 5km more

I was referring to the author of the post not to your car. Cas4 is a different story to fem or bdc, it doesn't happen there, in your case there is a problem with the eeprom nothing else.
