How to flash DME back to stock to remove tune - HELP!
Hello,
I purchased a BMW f10 535i recently. Previous owner had MHD stage 2 tune on it with catless downpipe. He put the stock cat back and sold the car to me. I have 3 permanently stored SAE codes and the car wouldn't pass state inspection in Texas. Car's idle is going up and down and drives rough. P112F - manifold absolute pressure to throttle angle too high P0036 - H02S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2) P0366 - Camshaft position sensor "B" Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1) I tried to get the previous owner to flash the car back to stock, but he has issues accessing his MHD account. MHD wants me to buy another license to flash it back to stock. I need both maps pack and Flasher license. I looked up my VIN in MHD tuning page, it shows the car had, MHD N55 Maps Pack - Stage 2 maps, pump gas MHD Flasher License for N55 I've already replaced the Camshaft position sensor on the exhaust side and completed DME adaptations as per MC-TIS document. I still have the rough idle and all 3 codes! All I want to do now is flash the ECU back to stock (factory reset), so I can legally pass the state inspection and register the car. I have icom clone and MHD wireless adapter/ENET. How do I flash the DME back to stock to remove the tune, without bricking it? Thanks in advance. |

Flash back to stock using e-sys. Just did this for a local customer last week.
If you have ENET cable, its possible for me to do remotely. Battery maintainer is recommended. Good luck! |

SVT manipulation is NEVER needed in such case. PROPER way is using TAL filter.

Is it possible to have the MHD tune somewhere in DME even after flashing the DME back to stock via esys? I'm still experiencing limp mode with no fault codes after flashing

but some tuners change the btld key, esys won't be able to erase the old btld and flash the stock one's.
