Hello, i have xprog v6.5 with dongle.

I tried to read my dash from audi a3 8p, i tried to read the cdc3217 and eprom but i don't abble to read.
The connections are ok because i readed the mileage, vin, pin from the dash, the problem is on the read icon because this icon are in gray and unabble to use.

I tried to make new bin in xprog but same...without success, how to read my cdc and eprom?

what version of windows are you using, as far as i know 6.5 will only work properly on win 7 64bit

Yes, windows xp and 7, i use on win 7 64bit

No, i don't added 12v, how to do that on the cilindrical connector?
It should not apear the read icon to use if is missing 12v? Because when i select device, dash, audi, cdc3217 and eprom the read icon stay in gray and i can't use it...
(Is my first time using xprog)

i only have 5.11, not sure about 6.5, try 12v, yes round socket

post some pics of the cluster pcb, there's a solution for read without lifting pins from chip, i'll look for it

I post photos with my pcb from cluster, with vin,pin readed and changed (i changed the VIN and mileage).
Photo with the read problem, the read aption (glases) is in gray and not usable.

My cluster is a 8p0920931s, i buyed the cluster to swap my old cluster because i have old cluster without display and my cluster start to missing the rpm .

The cluster is working on my car because i have immo off on ecu and i buyed the key from donor car, i don't have safe message, i activated the needle sweep, oil themperature (but is in submenu), the boost and lap timer is not working.
For that i need to read the cdc for backup if i have problems and rewrite the cdc with a dump what have the boost, lap, etc.

Maybe antivirus removed part of the software, try reinstalling software
