RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.25
Seem to be my issue related to Win7 32 bits. I may try 64bits with another computer. I think the Rheingold was installed in 64 bits computer so once you zip it and people download need 64 bits machine.

(I have all available heads original Siemens, clones, original GT1, DIS+ OPS, and ICOM A2) The first thing I found was the change for a much more bigger voltage regulator (In the picture the TO220 big one replaces an original designed small regulator.) I think someone made the wrong design or after some test they wake up and found out the heat dissipation was too strong. In my test the TO220 voltage regulator had an abnormal temperature, really hot, hot hot. So I decide to take it to the trashbox. The best DCAN I found on the market is the doitauto DCAN Interface (orange one like a OPS head). Of course not cheap, but working all the time with different software and cars. There is also an adapter available, it is not only a soldering between 7 + 8 it is a redirecting, because one of the pins (I am not shure at the moment but I think 8, is disconnected behind the adapter.) I could find it out if someone need it. This Interface is working perfect, if someone wont buy an ICOM, and important heat dissipation is in a normal way. In my opinion too much heat in a plastic house can be dangerous and most of our cars are not so cheap like this interface. I would never use it, ok only my opinion. I am developing microcontroller hardware so I always take a look inside the design and proper temps. Anyway very good information about the reflash of the CPU. Regards, B1257 |
