ISTA-D 4.07.31 Standalone / SQLiteDBs 4.07.30
I did it exactly how you said but ISTA do not connect (( I did first edit the ediabas.ini from "Interface = Remote" to "STD:OBD" and it didn't work. Than I deleted the entire ediabas folder in \Rheingold\ and it still do not connect. I'm frustrated!
Keep trying, lets go over it, 1. You installed all the netframeworks 3.5, 4.5.2, 4.6.2 and 4.7 2. You installed vcredistx64 and x86, there is a bunch of them. 3.You installed vs90 4. You updated your Java 5. You installed istaD, copied SDP into the right folder and SQDB into the right folder. These need to be OTHER and your language package 6. Did a reg fix and your IST opens For KDCAN, this is the order 7. Install Ediabas, 8. Go to Ediabas/Bin and look for Obd.ini file. Change comport to com1 9. Open ediabas.ini in same bin folder, check that interface reads STD:OBD 10. Plug you KCAN cable, go to ftdichip.com and download D2XX driver for your system. 11. Go to device drivers, look USBSerial port, update driver with 10 above, right click it, change port to com 1, latency to 1 12. Open ista, change vciconfig to ediabas 13 install networktool and configure USB as per instructions 14. Connect cable to car, switch ignition on. Close ISTA, reopen it and connect, Do not bother trying KDCAN on Fseries, it acts up sometimes for no apparent reason. Look through the above and confirm you went through all the steps particularly configuring Ediabas, networktool, obd.ini and ediabas.ini Confirm you have the PDF instruction file and the whole tools folder. You cant go wrong with it.
I will wipe out everything and install it again! What do you mean with “Copied SDP” in 5.? |

RE: ISTA-D 4.07.31 Standalone / SQLiteDBs 4.07.30
I have also now given up with programming in ISTAD. I have tries all that I possibly can! The damn software still asks me to carry out vehicle test! I am on windows 10, anyone got it working in windows 10? If yes any configurations done after installation?
My registry entries are "true" for programming I have added lines to ISTAGUI config file Everything else works except programming. This is insane! |

I dumpass forgot the networktool + USB setup! Now ISTA runs like a charm! One more question. If I have an Error in the memory and want to change the defect part, where do I get the partnumber (ger. Teilenummer)? |

Its nice to see a problem solved!!! Part number of a spare part for the car? If yes, Realoem.com (15-10-2017, 15:27 PM)OPaul Wrote: This is the error when I try to run Complete Indentification on ISTA 4.06.31 with a k-dcan cable ... Any idea what is the problem ? Your ediabas. 1. Go to ediabas, C:Ediabas/Bin. Look for OBD.ini and confirm com is 1 and interface is STD:OBD. Go to Ediabas in the same folder and confirm interface is STD:OBD. 2. Go to Rheingold folder, Ediabas subfolder. Look for Ediabas file and change interface to STD:OBD. It always comes as Remote! Check that you did run network tool when installing your ISTA. If you did go to network adapters, check that USB adapter is disabled, go to TCIP 4, properties, confirm IP is 169.254.0.8 Plug in your DCAN, go to device managers and look for COM line and right click. Latency 1 com 1 as per install instructions If you did all the above it will work. Connect computer to car, switch on laptop. Turn ignition on, start ISTA, change VCI to Ediabal and start vehicle test I have been through this hundreds of times. Usually it is just a small configuration issue or something forgotten that get you into trouble. It will work. |

To OPaul,
Run OBDSetup.exe and check of al lines given "OK",if not install "Serial setup" and check with OBDSetup.exe again. |
