Got brand new FEM from dealer for F30
Installed fine.
Used E-SYS, Read FA (VIN and DATA populated by BMW so all good), detect CAF, VO coded. Fine.

Car locks but can't start the car.

Do I need to use ISTA/P for declaring FEM replaced and flash, which I would like to avoid just right now, just need the car to start to move out.

Yes need ONLY ISTA+
I coded Yesterday new FEM, during upgrade whole car with new FEM only coded with esys, in first flash on ISTA+ 60% ECUs aborted flash with unknown in SWFL.
Luckily I had old FEM, recovery all ECUs, mounted new FEM, anyway ISTA+ only coded new FEM, in measures plan nothing else.
Anyway another important thing that esys not even able to make a Tal Calculation with new FEM, I mean :
-Mount New FEM
-Code New FEM with esys
-Write VCM, FA, seems ok (really ISTA+ don't detect this)
-TAL Calculating not possible
