NCS expert code 1RAD module BMW E91
Hi to all.
Situation: BMW E91 LCI with simple BMW Business oem radio (no CIC) I installed in its place a 2 din unit after market specific, work in canbus, monitor 7 ", excellent product, everything is ok... But I want to change some parameters in the 1RAD module with NCS and obviously without the radio Business connected it does not let me access to the 1RAD, NCS show error can not read from 1RAD. Question: is there a way with NCS to change some parameters in 1RAD module without physically having the Business oem radio connected? Thank you. |

i'm not sure if you are joking, or taking it as real. does your radio business have wireless connection to car?
what kind of parameter you want to change? 1rad is your radio business, your aftermarket radio is not programable with oem diagnostic. (and I think not programable at all) |

KDCAN can’t read 1Rad on LCI!
You need a icom a1-2 because KDCAN didn’t read most |

No, he cant code 1rad by icom or anything because he doesnt have any.... he change a "radio" for aftermarket one, so 1RAD is now "death" unit... i think this is a joke

RE: NCS expert code 1RAD module BMW E91
The after market radio emits the beeps of the PDC rear in an "anomalous" way (ok instead the PDC graphics).
I have encoded the PDC module with NCS to get sound from the rear oem buzzer (which I have wired and added) instead of from the radio speakers (add with NCS #0306 (my real date is #0309) and coded only PDC module to default). Now the PDC buzzer oem sounds correctly but I also have the double sound,PDC buzzer oem + radio after market (the radio after market emits PDC sound from its internal mini buzzer, low sound and ridiculous). In module 1RAD there should be a string to disable the PDC sound from the radio speakers (and consequently the mini after market radio buzzer). For this reason I wanted to access 1RAD and disable the right string... Edit: I know that the radio after market can not be coded, this is obvious! Edit2: if I temporarily restore the Business radio, afterwards with NCS and KDCAN cable I can access 1RAD, then change the string I want, and after having coded replace with the radio after market? Possible this? |

RE: NCS expert code 1RAD module BMW E91
This is indeed getting funny....
Coding is stored in the module itself so you can change everything you want but the coding won’t move out of nowhere to some aftermarket “shit” radio. So if you want to get rid of the PDC noise coming from radio you have to check the aftermarket radio settings or learn to live with it. |
