is anybody using china icom D connectecd to original icom next ?

Nope, But to clone NEXt , yes !
The 2 other connectors on the one with PCB inside are for POWER supply !

I've ordered a clone of Icom D . with electronics. but it was useless : I couldn't get accurate info  off ista (No connection).

The overall setup needed is 
- ICOM Box 
- Icom D cable 
- Power supply 12v (Cheap one off ali is perfectly fine, or even battery tender. It has to be able to provide 13.5V or ISTA will shut down 
- RJ45 Cable
- Ista D/P suite (rutracker is your friend)

I've cut the cable as shown... and used  some connector to get the good wiring. 


Overall the whole thing cost me around 250 euros. But i can do everything, including programming with ista-p

ICOM D with Electronics is NOT NEEDED for programming ! It could be done without !
