I've coded for an E9X rear view camera without installing the hardware yet. I noticed when pressing the pdc button the screen doesn't switch to pdc + rear view camera.
Is it mandatory to have the emulator installed first?

As far as I know you need to install the emulator frist, to get the RVC view

Best way is use rear cam retrofit kit from E84 + PDC ECU from E84.

So basically need to install everything first and then the cic will show the camera image.
What about the lines? All these all the lines which needed to be changed?

Is it possible to mount the oem camera on an E90 pre-lci? Is there a p/n for the handle where the camera goes in to?

You can install cam separately from handle or use handle from F10. In any cases you have to cut luggage door for camera or handle. There is a thread with photo about such retrofit at bmwcoding.

Coding worked perfectly. You need to connect the hardware first then the rear camera image will pop up on the cic.
