The ICOM firmware 3.15.08 is the last official firmware for the original BMW ICOM Next A, right? The newer version, 4.22.xx, hasn't been officially released, or? Does the firmware 3.15.08 actually have a bug or can it be used without any problems? Unfortunately, this question was not finally answered in this thread.

Yes, it is not officially yet approved!

Then it would probably be smarter to install 3.15.06 first and then wait for the final release of 4.22.xx or what do you think?

I am currently using version ISTA+ 4.30.xx, but I would like to update to a higher version soon. If I want to use this version with the original ICOM Next, it shows me "Firmware" as the status. The direct connection still works.

I am on 4.34.2x with 03-15-08. When I install new version of ISTA I also need to re run the msi for the firmware to clear the update because ISTA think's firmware is old. No need for newer at the moment.
