[Buyer Guide] Multiplexer
Hello fellow technicians smile

I would like to specialize in Mercedes and BMW and I guess many beginners would like to get some guidance when buying hardware.

From my understanding the best thing to get is an C4 with DoIP, this should be compatible with most of the important software?

When asking in boards and groups there are always people stating: "I have the best interface" or "I know somebody who has the best interfaces".
Sometimes they even tell they have original interfaces.

If you go to Aliexpress or similar you read A+ quality the next one states it is A+++ quality and then they add for example 2022 to it so it seems to be the best.

So maybe we can get together a guide what you should look for?
What are signs for good or bad quality?

Regards
Matthias

Yes, thats BMW. And as offical workshop you can by the key tool and read data from keys and even write into service history. They made it nice and easy.
Mercedes tries to lock everything up.

RE: [Buyer Guide] Multiplexer
Until you have the SD Connect in your hands, disassemble it and thoroughly inspect it you will not know what you have, some sellers are honest if you ask them for photos of what you are going to receive, but they are the least and it does not really guarantee the quality either.

In summary: with real photos of what you are going to receive you can get an idea of how much money they wanted to save on its manufacture, once received it is imperative to disassemble it and rework it to proper functioning in the medium and long term.
