Yes it was fine, when I sold the car I removed it and sold it to a friend fitted it to his car he had it for 2 years then sold the car without problems

How do you flash/code the TRSVC ecu? I suspected it’s software/coding issue rather than location/hardware problem.


My car is F20 LCI2 120i and factory installed 3AG rear view camera, I’ve also retrofitted TRSVC ecu from F30 to make the top-view. As you can see my attached picture, no “zoom issue” in my case, you will find the parking lot line is aligned between the top-view and rear view.

that is weird indeed - but also very promising, because you drive almost the identical BMW.
Mine is also a F20 LCI2 120i built March 2019.

Due to the fact that I used a very experienced German coder to do coding remotely, I can't really tell you how he did it in very detail.
I just know that he coded Surround View option for F30 into my FO.
After the initial coding I did the ABL calibration in ISTA+ several times successfully - but w/o improvement of the image.
Maybe we can start excluding/narrowing down the differences of our retrofit.
I installed TRSVC ecu with part no. 6653 6994554.
Which part no. did you install?
How did you code the retrofit and how did you the calibration?

Based on your shared foto it looks like you have Parking Assistant, right?
Because you have more sensors to the side of the car.

check in HU this setting:

Macro_trailer_coupling

If this is set to active it enables Zoom mode for the rearview camera and you should see an extra option in the idrive so you can select/deselect.

I did not find that info on the 6 series reverse camera yet but have a couple of other HDDs to check

I installed TRSVC ecu with part no. 6653 6994554.

I'm using this ecu too, so ecu itself not the problem source.

How did you code the retrofit and how did you the calibration?

There is only one camera calibration function in ISTA, and no option to be choose, so shouldn't have problem with calibration.

Maybe that's the problem here, to VO code the TRSVC, use original FA (F20 LCI2, with 3AG), and then FDL code the "DID41A3 Default TV Inhibit" parameter from TV_OFF to TV_ON at TRSVC ecu.

To keep good communication between TRSVC and others ecu, I also flashed the TRSVC to latest istep, with F30 LCI typecode and ZK.

This coding just add extra option in rear view mode, but not top view mode, so shouldn't make OP issue.

Hi Simon,
my coder checked today the cafd data of my TRSVC ecu remotely and said, that I have all your mentioned parameter coded.

He also extracted the cafd file from my HU and my TRSVC ecu, which I've attached.
I assume that NBT Evo HU just outputs the picture from the TRSVC, but just in case I attached both cafd files.
Sorry for the ad rich uploader.
I'm open for suggestions in case there is a better option to upload these files.
