how to? GDS2 for traverse 2010 with openport tactrix
I am looking to install gds2 on win 10 to connect to a traverse 2010 via openport 2.0 tactix.
I believe i have GDS2 install and i can see multiple "devices" available in the list and i select openport tactrix(windows recognizes the tactix correctly) but i cannot get GDS2 to talk to the vehicle. Do i need to install other drivers to make it work? what version for of MDI manager would i need for 2010 traverse? i am not trying to do any programing, just pull codes due to a failed emission inspection Engine off - catalyst(according to the report--no codes either) thanks in advance |

RE: how to? GDS2 for traverse 2010 with openport tactrix
If you do not have a MDI device - you don't need MDI manager too..
But you need to have J2534 wrapper installed, though. Also, 2010 Traverse is not supported by GDS2 - supported models are from MY2014-.. For previous gen you must use Tech2Win. But VERY few J2534 adapters can work with this app, because driver needs to support ISO22000 protocol. For the most part, only Bosch MDI, MDI2 (and their VCX clones) and some Mongoose tools support it. |

GM MDI Manager is only for GM MDI and/or GM MDI2
And yes as Mr. pupu144 told you yet Traverse 2010 is covered by Tech2 hand held and Tech2win Good luck |

Thanks for the info and clarification on the MDI managers. I am looking at the VCX clones now as they seem reasonable and very compatible.

I am trying to troubleshoot on why the cat or evap are not ready for emission test. (14-01-2024, 09:37 AM)mattydr67 Wrote: GM MDI Manager is only for GM MDI and/or GM MDI2 |
