No, the hardware is different. You need to use the correct firmware for the ICOM you have. Keep in mind that Chinese ICOM Next clone actually uses A2 hardware.

i am trying to program the ccc on a e60 but it says i need latest next software to program. i tried using next software and the after the icom address it says firmware

With the latest firmware, an ICOM A will work just as well. But for E-series you need ISTA-P for programming.
Just make very sure that you are using the MOST adapter!

Just bought a chinese icom next clone. Before used icom a. Can somebody tell me how to acces the icom next. To see for the firmware and even update if necessary. Many years ago since i did it.

Well, Yes and (frequently) NO
Yes if it is a clone of ICOM AT ALL. NO if is it VxDiag in an ICOM case (as it happens VERY FREQUENTLY).Assuming yes - THERE ARE NO ICOM NEXT clones. You still got ICOM A clone and should use ICOM A firmware.

Is there a way to say whats in the gray box
)Icom A or vxdiag.
Or some tool to see it.
