BMW F20 116i DME Update - Dee67 - 17-10-2019

Hi,

The issue I am having with the car is that 'Drivetrain' error pops up intermittenly but if I switch off and start again it seems fine again until next time.
I have hooked up ISTA D and it comes up with error 0x11A002 'High pressure fuel, plausibility Pressure too Low'.
So far I have replaced the pump with 2 more working used pumps and still the same issue plus changed the injectors and fuel rail regulator.
Maybe there is a hardware error in DME  but  I was hoping to try updating the DME first and see the outcome.
I am also open to other suggestions from members as well.

I am seeking some guidance on updating my DME ecu, I have working Bmw E-Sys ver 3.25.3 with ethernet cable.

I have managed to as far as read the FA, SVT and TAL calculation under Comfort Mode.
Gone into Expert Mode loaded and Read FA, then selected DME only and verified software availability to be ok.
Next step would be to start the operation...have I missed anything before I start to update?

Thanks in advance

I recomend at least to work with esys 3.27, or to download last version, with datens.
Steps are ok.
I can help you to flash the DME

For your fault, have you also check the Integrated supply module (12637614585) and Fuel pump relay (61366915327)?

I've seen these 2 parts also make trouble to the fuel pump.

Yes, I have checked low pressure pump relay and thats working fine. Now regarding Integrated Supply Module..is this what is refered to as ICM? If so, then I have had 'No message' missing between ICM and DME but does not come up everytime only High pressure pump plausibilty. The pressure from Low pump into High pump is around 68psi
.

Is fuel pressure the only code in dme? Post all codes.
Doubt software. If pressure is low its low.
May be timing chain as pump driven from camshaft.
Any misfire faults.
if you clear codes how do you get codes to come back.
how far you drive and how drive hard or normal.

It's the power supply module in engine room.

unable power voltage supply make fuel pump have unstable fuel pressure.

Actually I have done head gasket job on it ..skimmed head and valves reseated.
Timing been checked and ok. I have no issue with it starting maybe bit lumpy for short while then settles down. I take it for a drive and most times it's ok then all of sudden it starts to hesitate and not wanting to accelerate and then warning comes on idrive 'power train malfunction'. If I then stop the car and turn off for a minute or so it will fire up and run normal with no warnings. When I put ISTA D
and diagnose.. it comes up with 'high pressure pump plausibility' error.

Thank you for the diagram..any pointers to  what I should check for? Cheers
