try ebay for part numbers from ETK or realeom, if you spent some time on ebay you will find compatible one, just need to look at nearly all FRM3's but you can save your self over 60% of original price. there are also some websites in Germany they sell new BMW with 20-30% discount. 

i am 99.99% positive you have can3 on your zgw

Do I need an ICOM for ISTA+ to do the LED teach-in? Or will the ENET cable I already have work?

Nope, an ENET cable will do the work for you as well

I'm finally in the middle of this project, and everything is working except my brake lights. I compared the FRM CAFD file from the halogen backup, but I'm having a tough time determining which value(s) would make it treat the brake lights as halogen again.

Is there anyone that can let me know which values to change?

Got help from another forum, here's what to change for anyone else that needs this:

(don't use LEDs)
LAMP_MAPA_PARA_SATZ_07 change to BV_F025_wert_01_Bremslicht_ueber_SL2
LAMP_MAPA_PARA_SATZ_08 change to BV_F025_wert_01_Bremslicht_ueber_SL2

(headlights on, dim tail lights when not braking)
U_EFF__2_SL change to wert_02_7,0V


I don't have a ride height sensor so I'm still getting a vertical aim error, but was told to search for lwr in the FRM and disable it. I'm going to look into what it would take to install the sensor, but I can drive now!

Disabling LWR (FLC) fixed the vertical aim error, but it also disabled horizontal aim so there's no more corner following. Is there a way to disable only vertical aim without disabling horizontal aim?

Or do I have to install the ride height sensors and wiring?

C_FLC_ENA is still disabled, for me it fixes the error but seems to disable all of the other adaptive features as well. Car is at least drivable but it would be nice to get everything else back.
