have 2018 G30 530d. Engine light error code showing P2016 (Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Bank 1).

Took off manifold and done carbon clean. Reset adaptations etc with Autel maxipro but still coming up with engine light

Anyone know how to code out swirl flap if doing a swirl flap delete?

I recommend to use ISTA for diagnostics then you will have test modules for better testing.
Swirl flaps in intake manifolds on B57 are failing sometimes only at 150K km. An indication of failure is when there is oil in front of the intake manifold where swirl flaps actuator/linkage is.

worn intake manifold swirl flaps, you need to replace the manifold or modify the ecu software

Hi,

Not really, because new manifold with new swirl flaps and new runner position sensor.
Checked wiring harness from DDE to sensor, seems ok, but missing KL 31E coming from DME…

Have you Ista for diagnostics? Run swirl flaps testmodule is the swirl flaps electric actuator moving the linkage, but the sensor is not detecting the position? If manifold and actuator are new and working, wiring is good and software is stock then the only cause can be DDE self is faulty?
