I'm learning that I don't know anything about this case. :bash:
Yesterday night I tried to import codes becouse someone gived to me a repair pack for my vin but with fstool I don't understand how I can do that and with IstaP I was scared to make some damage.

My situation is:


Import the fsc with IstaP was simple. Just put them in a usb dongle and follow the "how to" import istap guide.



The problem is that IstaP also inserted in its plan the cic update too as you can see from the below image (highlighted row). I know that If IstaP upgrades my cic firmware I'll loose Bmw apps . Is it true?
How can I use the fsc repair kit without Istap makes other operations? How can I use fstool to import fsc cert? I found a lot of guide and threads about the procedure with esys and F series but nothing with fstool and E series.

I haven't personally performed an fsc import, but i have cloned a unit with an /mnt/HBpersistence migration, and performed script activation. In the interim i would suggest the script is the quickest way to get it working again.

Regarding the upgrade, i don't think you can go over v43 without needing a 9C fsc for bmwapps. You will lose this function at newer levels without it. Looks like you only had keys for 17, 19 and 1B.

Also, the generalPersistencyData_DiagnosticSWTController file you uploaded contains multiple carriage returns adjacent to linefeed characters (aka CrLf, or 0x0D0A). When downloading via ftp from a Linux/Unix based O/S be sure your clients preferred transfer mode is set to binary rather than ASCII, otherwise if you ever want to upload them back to the unit you'll have to repair them first!
