RE: CIC, Recover bricked GW
I've been using WinKFP...
I've got some real old daten (v32) that supports the GW. Problem is, it looks like the issue comes from WinKFP that doesn't start actual programming. I've attached a side by side pic of the start of programming. On the left is the stuffed GW and the right is a working GW. At the point where WinKFP reads the ZIF from the GW (when selecting the Data file in Expert mode) you can see where the issue starts. It pretty much snowballs from here... So I'm not sure what it would help using older SPDaten? |

RE: CIC, Recover bricked GW
The problem is not in sp-daten, it is in the way you are programming. That guide is missing bootloader update part of the expert mode flash. You must flash 63 (naab, program, data), 62 (naab, program, data), then finally you can flash A0 with comfort mode.

Hello, did you manageto fix your CIC?
I have a stuck CIC in programmer status 5. I have ICOM, and power supply etc. But now i can't flash the firmware anymore and the CIC is in bootloader. |

RE: CIC, Recover bricked GW
Yeah I did bud. AP's instructions were pretty spot on, although my failure mode was 11 and not 5. I'm not sure what 5 means.

RE: CIC, Recover bricked GW
Thanks for your response. Actually, mine kept returning a 12 status, once it returned a 5, but now has gone back to 12. I've seen other people have the same returned status and finally resolved the issue, but no one says how they did it in the end.

RE: CIC, Recover bricked GW
Maby stupid question, but 100 sure you have CIC professional with the harddrive?
And not the small screen bussines system? If the CIC bootloader is alive wich it is because you have connection, its always 100% possible to restore the device, but need do correct order First Adres 63 which is CI63F1 first do NAAB than Program than daten IMPORTANT!!! disable UIF write in winkfp expert mode otherwise you run stuck for sure because the UIF is damaged. My question why i ask if you have business navigation is because that device is little different. |

Hi I posted a question in a mother thread which is similar: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=32383 I need to do the same but with a ccc. Wondering if anyone could help out. I get these instructions but i can see mine would be different and need a few of the gaps filled in. I'm guessing you do this in expert mode? |
