Can2 is from 07.2012 on F1x so you are good to go.
Nothing to rewire or flash. Fresh istep on car and nbt is a good idea though.

You can change the diversity module in the back from a single to double FM one. Make sure frequency is the same as the original car (written on it), otherwise keys won't lock/unlock the car anymore. Just search for LCI/facelift version on eBay. Plenty of those.
And ideally you should also run a secondary fakra cable from the new diversity module to the NBT for FM2
