It goes right to pin 8 (Vcc) on 24c02. From what I can tell it is most likely a decoupling capacitor to prevent voltage spikes. From a datasheet I found they recommend capacitance to be between 10 and 100 uF. Will just short the contacts until I can find a replacement.

Programmed the 24c02 successfully with a cheap CH341a programmer. All that's left is wiring the button/firmware restore. Will do this later today when I have some more free time.
