Hi
I have same problem with two interface, reflash without any problem, (USB method work only if have 12 V or conect in car) , with USBASP programer reflash without problem too,FTDI is 232 BL flash with mprog, interface driver is OK, but if try interface test message is interface found OK but not plugged in the car, if plug in car or add 12 V message is interface not found, is here hardware or software problem?? This HW can be upgraded to 17.8? does not carry the atmel chip.

NO . NO CLONE WITH ANY OTHER MCU THEN ATMEGA162 CAN BE UPGRADED. STM AND NEC INTERFACES ARE CHINESE INVENTIONS AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ORIGINAL INTERFACE. ONCE BROKEN WILL REMAIN BROKEN. If you like my post and it helped you please press

I tested it on FTDI 232BL and for me it not working ok. For RL works prefect.

I have HW type 0x46, step 1- write ftdi_ft_prog_RLRQ.ept by FTDI-MProg 3.5 step2- wrote VCDS HW 0x46 BB v2 file in the folder Project TL866 ( with tl866) I get message "interface found , not pluged to car" Thanks |

I have this low-end type cable. Doesn't work at all  Plugged into USB/car: red LED begins to flash. VCDS: no interface found MProg/FT prog: no connected device vidpidfix: no connected device HWTYPE.EXE: interface not found Control panel/USB view: 0403/FA30; Ross-Tech HEX-USB What can this be? Reflashed several times with 11.11, 17.1. Always the same. Thanks in advice |
