Does anyone know why I can't start ISTA/P through the Beta 3 Tool?
When I try, I get an JIT error from .NET Framework (Don't have the exact error at the moment)
But if I start ISTA/P through the ISPI Next Tool (1st. version), it starts fine? (also in Expert mode)

And have anyone updated their ISTA/P with the "BMW_ISPI_ISTA-P_SYS_3.56.1.002.msi" file?
Everything looks fine and I think it runs all the way to the end of the installation like it should.
But then it comes up with an message about the has installation ended.
I haven't been staring at the laptop the entire time, but instead connecting to it through TeamViewer, since i was at work and the laptop was at home.
(I'm home now, so I have started the update again and I will post the error when it's done!)

UPDATE:
This is what i mean when i said that it look like it runs all the way...
(Didn't see if it reaches "Prepare installation" or "Installation of ISTA/P ISPI Next"!)

And this is what I see when the installation ends..

I've installed and re-installed 3.56.1.200 about 4 times, every times before installation it would be rolled back.
So uninstalled ISTA 3.56.0.500 then re-installed them from version .0.500 to .1.200.then ISTA/P 3.56.1.200 ok,try to programming a F3x.it worked normal.I don't hnow why?

Yes it worked because you had all original files. If you enable expert mode then u must put back all original files before updating

I haven't enabled anything by myself, except changing the OperationalMode in "ISTAGUI.exe.config" to "ISTA_PLUS".
But it didn't work before i changed it.
So how do I know if it is running in Expert mode?
Because, if I remember right, it stands in red in the top of the ISTA/P window, right?
Haven't seen that on this laptop in any programs (ISTA/D and P)

While it looked like it was going further with the installation than last time and I was starting to write this post for thanking you and everything, it suddenly stopped with the same message as last time.
So deleting the 3.56.1.002.MSI and ISTAP-files and downloading them again, didn't do the trick...

Isn't there any log-files, so I could get a hint about why it can't install the update?

And please don't misunderstand me!
I know that you just tried to help, which I'm very glad for! (:
Unfortunately it just didn't work.

Good one! (o;

I'm guessing that you mean the "C:\Program Files\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\Logs" ?
But it's empty..

Thanks ntuner for the encouraging support last night. I actually played around in ISTA /D last night for about 1.5 hours until my laptop battery got low. rock I know you said to get ICOM unit for ISTA /P. Now I am just finding out by a document in ISTA /D that battery registration requires ISTA /P for CAS configuration change.

Is there any way to get ISTA /P to work with the OBDII USB cable. I don't care about the speed of the interface. I know MOST is faster. I just need to do some basic ISTA /P work. Please tell me there is hope for this and I won't have to install Easy DIS/GT1. That was painful enough and the user interface really sucks.
