No, I just remember that that was a problem with INPA (ISTA/P) and ENET so I'd guess it may be an issue for ISTA+.

Maybee that problem can be soved with a router or virtual router just like with ICOM.

Hi Aboulfad,

You could try a very simple measurepan first by do a Coding Only option.

you always can change back. For example HiFi Alpine only change one setting in your CIC. (Stereo to HIFI ) output of amplifier of CIC is than lower and ready for speaker wiring to input on an external ampifier

Honestly, I think ISTA programming is just crap... I always use Esys and never tried ISTA/P but I wanted a challenge!

So I don't have much experience with ISTA programming, all I see is ISTA wanting to do mandatory update of my DME, KOMBI and HU_NBT. I don't know how to code one feature using ISTA but I can do it with eyes closed in Esys laughing I played a bit and found one, to code DRL to insensitive, which I have done in Esys, but the silly ISTA adds it to the flashing measures plan and not sure how to select only AND only that action.

RE: ISTA4 ENET Programming
Go to Vehice Modification, conversion (coding only) and select an option and recalculate measureplan. ISTA wil tel you that the original measureplan is cancelled and that only the coding is carried out.

yep thats where I went, but in order for ISTA to say "cancelled" that would imply to press on "execute", right ? so I didnt smile I dont have my PSU hooked up and I am in the midst of coding, so I dont feel like having other issues to deal with lol

But you are welcome to try it, I can PM you the dll patch!

My car is just updated with the latest ilevel so i could try with a coding option next week on my work. I have no garage and it is getting cold and rainy in the Netherlands nowbiggrin
So i think you mean .dll with 6108 port setting. If you could sent me by pm so i can test next week would be nice because i do not now how to change a .dll file

RE: ISTA4 ENET Programming
@Twoone, mijn vrouw is nederlandse smile which version of ISTA do you use ? Totsiens !!!
PS: its port 6801 BTW
PPS: I said let me try a small coding conversion, and look, ISTA knows I am on wifi, hahaha, i guess i'll patch that too or just connect my cable. BTW, for those of you who have experience with this screenshot, does "execute" only execute the row selected ?

RE: ISTA4 ENET Programming
rofl I cant believe BMW made it easy this time, there is a config parameter
"BMW.Rheingold.RheingoldSessionController.CircumventProgramingProhibition" that circumvents all checks, battery, Wlan, clamp30, ...

I tried it and it works, set it to "true" to circumvent!!! Proceed with caution, and always make sure you have an adequate PSU connected.
<add key="BMW.Rheingold.RheingoldSessionController.CircumventProgramingProhibition" value="true" />

No ISTA is going to do the complete measureplan thats written. (as far as i now, i never tried this actually)
I always use a power suppy with at least 60Amps max. During the last ilevel update i saw at a certain moment 45A where needed for a F30 320D 2012/7 so i now this is important.
During programming i also always switch off firewall, wifi and anti virus.

XZBMW  RE: ISTA4 ENET Programming
For ISTA programming I did some times I felt some benefits were as followed:

1.Speed maybe only 1/3-1/2 of ISTA/P.
2.When WiFi pop-up,no need re-start ISTA,for ISTA/P must be

So I think for ISTA programming function improvement, all members need to fix its shortcoming like these:

1.programming by ENET cable
2.Active ISTA expert mode for selectable some modules for P,C like ISTA/P
3.Static IP,router,or DHCPSVR etc for IP assign for MOST by ENET cable

Let's do our best.thx
