Guys,

One more question. Regarding Update instructions MMI 3G v1.6, page 22, activating 3GP, I've double check the size of "copie_scr.sh" and the file size is 161bytes not 3634 as mentioned in the instruction.
This file I have downloaded from Activator section at the 1 page of that post.

Is it correct size and will work properly?

I also answered myself

What I did :

- run script to enable Emergency Update on K0900
- force Emergency Update with K0900
- install K0942
- delete nav database and nav partition and install new maps 6.24.2
- activated maps with same activator as for K0900 and 6.22.4
- reinstall K0942 (install GEMMI etc.)
- delete fault 03623 with same script as for K0900 and 6.22.4

Everything is working and no faults in 5F.

I always liked this method, for me it is the cleanest way. Maybe if I have some free time I will reinstall firmware 942 with emergency update and reinstall the map.

I definitely want to include this method in the manual

One question: When you installed the map, did you have to do the installation in "user-defined mode" or did you install the map as usual (standard mode)?

I prefer wait to 3G Basic/High Activation and make a complete manual.

You can try, it's easy and all are well explained in this thread.

Today I installed on cards MMI 3G 6.24.2 HIGH ran installation without and further settings usually without problems.
I've tried the 2016 Activator from 6.22.4 FSC appeared OK, but the device was blocked after 2 minutes of being enabled.
Wait a new activator that works on the cards 6.24.2.

Can I revert back to version 6.22.4 when I want, I updated enough cars so far, I have experience in firmware and Softwareasa mouse.
So Audi will not go after FSC
I did update to version 2017 on 3G MMI HIG to relieve fellow forum for this work.

That's because the activator is for 3G+ and yours is 3g High, so still no activator available I think.

Map is too large to my pendrive and SD card. It's possible to make smaller the map? Which files are not necessary?

Map works with both firmware 900/942
If you have 900 firmware enabled, simply update the map and everything has to work.
To update the map, you have to do that "is user- defined" and select all modules
No need to delete old or partition maps nav
If you have a 32 GB SD can:
Remove "pkgdb / LIT3" file if you update a car 3GP (3G +), if you need more space, you can remove and LIT file LIT2
Remove "/ LIT3GP4 pkgdb" file if you update a 3G base / big machine. If you need more space, you can remove LIT3GP3, 2, 1 ..
Buy a 64GB SD format and FAT format.
